Socrates was told by the oracle that he was the wisest man. Because he did not believe this, he went about questioning men who believed themselves to be wise to see what they knew. Of course, in conversation with Socrates, they revealed that they did not know anything at all. Ultimately, Socrates concluded that he *was* the wisest man in truth, because he alone knew that he knew nothing.
Without knowing the real essence of this ?, it is difficult I think.
