Ever since they (McAfee) redesigned the application I’ve been asked to install an update everyday. Are they just fixing bugs, or is this going to become a regular thing? Answers are appreciated.

hi Scary, a good AV program should be updating as often as threats require. we use avast! anti-virus and it will often update twice in a day.
btw Mcafee have just been purchased by semi-conductor giant Intel – may have something to do with that.

Your frustration is one unfortunate side effect of having purchased this OS without being told you must become a security EXPERT. An omission on the part of Microsoft, and I’m sure they meant to tell you…but somehow forgot.
